Using Laser Printer Toners is a Bit Like Getting a Tattoo
OK, I understand what happens with inkjets, they put ink on paper and it stays there, once it dries, like it stays there when you write with a fountain pen. But laser printing is much more confusing, I’ve gathered some data, and I’m still not sure I got my facts right.
Apparently, the characters are formed in the toner, using some sort of electrical charges. Wow, these laser printer toners must be really smart! But that’s not all, the paper also gets some electrical charges, and then the two charges attract each other like magnets and get the text on paper. Woosh! Then everything gets heated up to get the print to stick onto the paper. Seriously, how can all this be done in such a small amount of time? And if it takes all those efforts, I better be more careful with what I print out, so that it’s worthy of all that technology.
